


It is as lusty as the title would lead one to believe but also has a colorfully cartoonish sense of wordplay that makes it quite unique (sample lyrics: "I really need a girl like an open book/To read between the lines.").

The lyrics are a fantasy about wild romantic encounters going on behind closed doors in a buttoned-down business office setting. Both of these elements make their presence felt on "Love in an Elevator," a delightful fusion of pop slickness and rock riffs with enough hooks for two or three songs. As a result, Pump was an album that overflowed with ideas and energy. After making an impressive comeback with Permanent Vacation, Aerosmith attacked the recording of their next album with renewed confidence.
